Michał Podleśny will build a woodfired kiln, which will resemble a grotesque figure of a gnome with a metal body hissing and shooting with flames.

A flameworking workshop will be led by Beata Damian-Speruda, Dagmara Bielecka and Katarzyna Gemborys.

Our special guest, Wayne E. Potratz, is a renowned American artist working in the field of metal casting. He will lead a mouldmaking workshop for sculpture students of the Academy.

This year Wrocław will be the place where masters of glassworking techniques will meet. Ben Wright /USA; Brent Cole /USA; Jiří Pačinek /The Czech Republic; Agâh Barış Can Aksakal /Turkey will be working together to present their techniques of shaping with hot glass.

At the Festival an American artist – David Lobdell will run an exceptional iron pour from the big furnace built in 2007 at the Wrocław Academy. He will be helped by the crew of students and other invited artists.

Michał Staszczak and his crew will lead a spectacular iron pour from a tilting furnace.

“Other face of Raku” is an unusual show of unique and spectacular firing of a two-metre ceramic work made together with students from the Department of Ceramics of the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław.

Raku ceramics will be fired for us by Mirosław Kulla and Kacper Kuźnicki as well as students from the Department of Ceramics.

Kalina Bańka and Adam Włodarczyk will run a workshop called “Bakery” where participants will be encouraged to create their own decors in the negative.

Fast Design is a workshop of designing glassware led by Beata Mak-Sobota.

Mohammed El Abd, an Egyptian ceramic artist, will show us a traditional process of making Egyptian paste which hasn’t changed for more than 7000 years.

Simon and Rebecca Eccles will present methods of creating murrine ornaments ‬in coloured, glass material.
