Raku ceramics will be fired for us by Mirosław Kulla and Kacper Kuźnicki as well as students from the Department of Ceramics.

What is it all about? This kiln is wood fired, based on a light steel construction, built of chamotte bricks and ceramic fibre. The temperature of firing is even 1300-1400°C!

Kacper Kuźnicki (born 1976) – graduate of the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. For more than ten years he has organized ceramic workshops involving throwing on a pottery wheel, he designs and builds outdoor kilns for firing Raku ceramics and pottery wheels. He leads the Modelling Studio at the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass and his own ceramic studio offering modelling services and an educational programme in the field of ceramics for adults and children. He was an art commissioner during the International Ceramic-Sculpture Workshops in Bolesławiec, he took part in many ceramic workshops, group and solo exhibitions in Poland and abroad.

Mirosław Kulla – graduated from the Academy of Art. and Design in Wrocław (the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass). He now cooperates with the Jelenia Góra Culture Centre where he runs his own ceramics studio, organises international workshops and ceramic symposia. He presents his works at exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He designs and builds ceramic woodfired kilns
