Our next star in the glass section is Brent Cole – a professor at Ball State School of Art and a head of M. Glick Centre for Glass, Ball State School of Art, Muncie in the USA.

Doreuldakda is a participatory performance presented by Doreuldakda Project, which invites the public to join in a moment of doing nothing but polishing up a stone.

Agâh Barış Can Aksakal –  a Turkish master of glassworking techniques, will be one of the festival visiting artists this year.

At  the 12th Festival of High Temperatures Kay Aplin and Joseph Young will present a ceramic-sound performance and an exhibition of their works entitled “Fire plus water”.

Martin Stefanek is an outstanding artist who will prepare a demonstration with the use of a glassworking furnace.

David Lobdell will be one of this year international visiting artists in the metal section.

This year Hyang Jong Oh from Kwangju in South Korea will be among our special guests in the ceramics section.

Jörg Hanowski is a German artist specializing in neon-making.

Eirin Bjørsland Hansen will share her knowledge and experience in the area of glassworking techniques.

Noah Kirby, a sculptor and active member of the art iron casting community, will lead a scratchblock workshop for the festival audience followed by an iron pour from a small cupola furnace.

At the 12th Festival of High Temperatures Jason Hess will build and fire a Train Kiln.

One of our special festival guests will be an artist Sam Chung, professor of ceramics at Arizona State University.

This year our special guest of the metal section will be Tamsie Ringler, an American artist working in the field of sculpture and metal casting.

Monika Patuszyńska is another guest of the ceramic section. This artist will try to combine two sections of the Festival: glass and ceramics.

During the 111th Festival Şirin Koçak Özeskici – a Bulgarian artist will demonstrate a Naked Raku technique. 

Kurt Dyrhaug – originally from St. Paul, Minnesota, Kurt Dyrhaug is currently a Professor and Distinguished Faculty Research Fellow at Lamar University where he teaches Sculpture, 3D Design, 3D Printing, and Art Appreciation.

During the 11th Festival Andreas Fasoulides will conduct a ceramic experiment. 

Erica Rosenfeld, a glass artist from New York, will be one of our Festival guests this year. 

Andy Griffiths will create a cast iron performance during which, soon after dark, the sun will rise.

At the Festival John Moran will demonstrate his skills in the Glassworking Studio. With his assistants, he will present the process of making ironic, hyperrealistic hot glass objects.

At the Festival Coral Penelope Lambert will present her cast iron performance Nature’s speech.

Artists from Wales – Andy Griffiths, Matthew Tomalin and their students from the Carmarthen School of Art will present a performance using molten iron.
