Eirin Bjørsland Hansen will share her knowledge and experience in the area of glassworking techniques. The artist graduated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Bornholm, Denmark; after her craftsmanship from The National School of Glass in Sweden. In 2016, she co-founded Formbar; a collaborative glass studio in Haugesund, Norway. Eirin draws her creative inspiration from her surroundings – which is often nature, architecture, natural light and its reflections. Her works are intensely personal and explore the emotional topics of her own life. At the Festival, supported by her assistant, she will conduct a glassworking demonstration “Nordic Dynamism”. During the festival conference she will give a lecture entitled “Formbar – Fire in a Cold Land”.
