This workshop will be prepared by Beata Damian-Speruda, Dagmara Bielecka and Katarzyna Gemborys.

The Festival visitors are encouraged to experience the technique of flameworking in which glass softens and it is easily shaped. The authors will present the methods of making unique trinkets using the flame of a torch. Everyone willing to participate will be allowed to create their own bead or decoration and when it’s cooled – take it home!

Dagmara Bielecka (1974) – a graduate of the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. For many years she has been working in the Department of Glass. At present she is an assistant professor in the 2nd Art Glass Studio. Organizer of many presentations and workshops on methods of forming glass with torches, participant of many editions of Festival of High Temperatures. Researcher and enthusiast of old glass decorating techniques. With the use of a torch and coloured glass she creates unique objects and vessels. She has taken part in many exhibitions in Poland and abroad. Her works are in private collections and museums in Poland and abroad.

Beata Damian-Speruda (born 1965) – graduated from the Faculty of Ceramics and Glass at the Academy of Art. and Design in Wrocław. She runs the Torch Workshop at the Academy. She uses and teaches mainly flameworking techniques. She has participated in many exhibitions in Poland and abroad. He has also taken part in numerous symposia and glass workshops. She has led her demontrations and  flameworking workshops at the Festival of High Temperatures since 2008.

Katarzyna Gemborys – assistant tutor at the Academy of Art. and Design in Wrocław. She has participated in many glass, design and jewellery exhibitions and competitions. For almost 10 tyears she has been creating her works in flameworking techniques. In 2016 she received a PhD degree. www.behance.net/kat_gem
